The Story of the House

A Home Built in 1959

A Home Built in 1959

Kotos Jitilon began as a family home.
Built in 1959, this wooden house was once where the owner and family grew up. Its structure, materials and atmosphere reflect the simplicity and beauty of traditional Kadazan village living, from the wooden rooms to the open shared spaces and bamboo flooring.
Over the years, the house has been carefully restored to preserve its original character while making it comfortable for modern guests. Every corner still holds the feeling of a lived-in family home, not a commercial hotel.
That is what makes Kotos Jitilon special. It is not just a place to stay. It is a place with roots.
